Full Contact Youth Football, Flag and Cheerleading
The Singapore American Football League offers full-contact, American Football to ages 9-19/US grades 4th-12th, with Flag-Football for ages 5-9/US grades 1st-3rd. We also offer several levels of cheerleading, from 4th grade through Varsity level. The program is open to the youth all across Singapore, not just to the students of Singapore American School.
The SAFL season runs from early August to late October. Each Conference consists of 2 or 3, sometimes 4, teams that play each other several times during the season, culminating in a series of championship games.
The World Conference Eagles
At the end of the regular season the high school players combine to form The World Conference Eagles (previously "The Falcons"), a traveling squad that plays teams from other high schools, international schools and U.S. Department of Defense schools in the Asia-Pacific region.
For the 2015 season the Falcons traveled to Perth, Western Australia in late September and to Seoul, South Korea in October for several games during Fall Break, including the JV Falcons team for a third game. During the 2015 season, the Falcons also hosted Emirates American Football League (EAFL) Dubai Falcons team in Singapore for both Varsity and JV games over Halloween weekend in late October.
Most games are played on Fridays and Saturdays at the Singapore American School (SAS), though occasionally games are also played at other locations in Singapore.
SAFL will provide separate buses for football players due to their practice running later than the SAS After School Activities Buses. With the latest practices ending at 7pm, these buses leave the SAS High School steps at 7:15pm, reaching their destinations about 7:45pm.
The following transportation options are offered for the 2015 regular season:
